Advertising Council Australia appoints Megan Camp as SouthWest State Manager

Advertising Council Australia (ACA) has appointed Megan Camp as SouthWest State Manager, leading the delivery of ACA’s national programs and member services across Western and South Australia.

Camp joins from Val Morgan Group, where she spent 11 years working with Perth media agencies on creative digital out-of-home and cinema solutions, in a range of sales roles and ultimately as Group Sales Manager WA. Prior to that, she worked in client service at Adshel.

Tony Hale, CEO, Advertising Council Australia, said: “The SouthWest is a strong, engaged part of ACA’s membership and Megan will build on our established work connecting agency leaders, clients, media, industry bodies and government across both states.

“She brings deep agency relationships and a clear understanding of what businesses in this market need to grow – a trusted partner as we continue to deliver value for members across the region.”

Camp will be members’ local point of contact for advice, regulatory guidance and national programs such as accreditation and value-based pricing.

She will also continue to strengthen the region’s talent pipeline through AdSchool, AWARD School and JumpStart, and keep SouthWest creativity on the national stage through the AWARD Awards, Effies and Cannes Young Lions.

Callum Mackenzie, ACA WA Chair and MD of Rare, said: “WA and SA have distinctive creative communities and ACA has long championed them. Megan is the right person to carry that work forward and make sure SouthWest talent and creativity continue to get the recognition they’ve earned.”

Camp said: “I’ve watched this market punch above its weight for years. Some of the smartest, bravest work in the country comes out of the SouthWest and getting to champion that, and the people behind it, is a big part of why I said yes to this role. I’m excited to get started.”
