We Are Social (TO BE APPROVED BY CRIS)

Why did your agency pursue Accreditation when it wasn’t mandatory?

Because good intentions aren’t enough.

We wanted an external benchmark that held us accountable for how we operate, particularly around our people, wellbeing and professional standards. Accreditation gave us a useful framework to pressure-test what we already had in place, identify where we could do better and make sure the experience of working here matched the standards we expect of ourselves.

Describe one moment from the past year when your investment in your people’s wellbeing actually mattered.

The moments that matter are often quite private.

This year we’ve had people dealing with difficult things both inside and outside work, and having support like Sonder available meant there was somewhere independent and confidential they could turn to straight away. You realise the value of those investments when someone actually needs them. Having the support already there makes a real difference.

What would you want someone reading a job ad from your agency to understand about what Accreditation signals about how you run the place?

That there is some rigour behind what we say about our culture.

Anyone can write “we care about our people” in a job ad. Accreditation means there are actual standards, policies and support behind it, and an external body holding us accountable to them.

What would you say to an agency that hasn’t applied yet?

Do it for the process as much as the Accreditation itself.

It forces you to look properly at how you run the business and where there might still be gaps. Even if you feel you’re already doing a lot of it well, having an external benchmark is useful.
