Advertising Council Australia (ACA) has appointed its inaugural Futures Board, a group of 11 emerging industry leaders tasked with providing strategic input and recommendations to the ACA Board.
Members were selected from across disciplines, including data, social strategy, creative, and digital transformation, and represent agencies nationwide.
Michael Rebelo, ACA Chair, said: “The industry is changing fast. To stay relevant, we need the people closest to the change to help shape our thinking. The Futures Board brings emerging leaders into our strategy so ACA and its member agencies stay competitive, relevant and continue to deliver real business results.”

Candidates were assessed through a blind review process, with applications evaluated on strategic thinking and problem-solving before progressing to a formal interview stage.
Tony Hale, CEO, ACA, said the Futures Board will play a practical role in shaping priorities.
“The aim is to turn insight into action. Bringing together emerging leaders from across disciplines and markets allows us to test ideas, challenge assumptions and translate industry change into practical priorities for ACA and its members,” he said.
The group will hold its first strategy session in early March, where members will meet with the ACA Board of Directors to set priorities for the year ahead.
