Why did your agency pursue Accreditation when it wasn’t mandatory?
ACA are building a national standard – one that holds agencies to real benchmarks on ethics, governance, employee wellbeing, diversity and sustainability, not just good intentions.
We pursued it because we think the agencies that help shape that standard early get to influence what good looks like for the whole industry.
Describe one moment from the past year when your investment in your people’s wellbeing actually mattered.
Our EAP is Sonder, which gives our people access to GPs, medical specialists, counsellors, and psychologists.
About 30% of our team are parents, and what surprised us – though maybe it shouldn’t have – is how often Sonder has been used for their kids. Over winter we saw a noticeable spike, and when we spoke to some of those parents, the feedback was pretty consistent: being able to get a same-day GP appointment for a sick child, with everything covered, made a real difference in those moments when you’re stressed and just need help.
It’s a small thing in the scheme of running an agency, but it’s the kind of thing people don’t forget.
What would you want someone reading a job ad from your agency to understand about what Accreditation signals about how you run the place?
Our defining value is to care fiercely – about people, about work, about clients, and the outcomes we create for them.
We believe diversity creates breakthroughs. The best idea in the room is rarely the loudest one. It’s usually the one that only exists because different minds, different experiences, and different ways of seeing the world collided in the same space.
Accreditation is a signal that this isn’t just something we say. It means we’ve been held to account for it – and that’s exactly the kind of place we’re trying to build.
What would you say to an agency that hasn’t applied yet?
Apply. Not for the badge – but because the process itself will show you where you stand and give you something real to build toward.
This program is raising the bar on trust, accountability, and respect across the industry. And practically speaking, it gives your people one more genuine reason to stay, and new talent one more reason to choose you.
