Overview

The SBS Inclusion Program is a collection of online courses that provide individual self-paced learning in the areas of inclusion and diversity.

It is designed to give everyone working in the advertising industry core skills and knowledge around inclusion in general, and specifically around other diversity dimensions: Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander, cultures, LGBTIQ+, gender equity, disability, age and appropriate workplace behaviour including Respect@Work and Psychosocial Risk legislation.

What are the benefits
  • Diversity of thinking is essential to creative innovation
  • Highly engaging and binge-able
  • Tells real stories and makes complex information accessible to all
  • Provides practical things you can do on a day to basis to make interactions with diverse people a little easier
  • Not about political correctness
  • Not the end of the process – a beginning
  • Each course was created by SBS in collaboration with specially selected partners who are experts/thought leaders in that particular diversity area.

You can find out more information about our Collaboration partners on the Inclusion Program Website.

What to expect

All the SBS Inclusion Program courses/modules are highly engaging online learning experiences. They tell real stories, create empathy, make complex information digestible, and provide practical things people can do on a day-to-day basis.

Content is largely delivered as short films, animations that make difficult concepts easier to understand, and interviews featuring real stories from diverse people, academics, and managers of diverse teams. It is complemented by activities designed to make people think about themselves. Further reading provides more detailed information on specific topics and links to a range of resources.

Note: There are no formal assessments, pass or fail, however, there are some activities within the course that need to be completed.
