AWARD Crash

AWARD Crash is a two-day intensive course for creatives ready to sharpen the vital skills that sit between developing great ideas and making sure they land.

Booking Deadline
Sydney: 17 September
Melbourne: 29 September
Perth: 2026 dates to be announced soon

Overview

AWARD Crash addresses a critical gap in creative development: the lack of formal guidance on internal dynamics, client collaboration, presentation skills, and managing feedback. Each session is mapped to the key stages of a creative project – from brief to idea, from conflict to craft – and is taught by some of the industry’s most respected leaders.

It’s in person and it’s fast, combining five bite-sized online sessions with a day and a half of immersive, in-person workshops in small groups.

Each week includes a bit of homework or reflection so you can hit the ground running when you walk into the room.

Who’s it for?

AWARD Crash is for mid to senior-level creatives – roughly 3-7 years in – who are already making great work and getting things done, but want to sharpen the soft skills that hold it all together.

Think: presenting with clarity, handling feedback, managing up/down, and getting buy-in across the agency.

It’s made for those in the middle – not juniors, not CDs – who want to feel more confident, more effective, and more in control of the creative chaos.

If you’re already doing the work but want to do it smarter, this is for you.

WORKSHOP FRAMEWORK & TOPICS

We follow the work. Literally.

Crash is built around the actual journey of a creative project – from receiving the brief to delivering the final thing. Each session zooms in on a critical moment where things often go sideways: feedback, handovers, presentations, tough convos, all of it.

You’ll move through key stages like:

  • The Language of Ideas

  • Judging Creative Work

  • The Power of Presenting

  • Negotiation & Conflict Resolution

  • Creative Career Progression

You’ll get both solo time to think and group time to build, because sometimes clarity hits when you’re alone, and sometimes you need to hear someone else say the quiet part out loud.

Before the Room:

5 x 30-minute online lectures, released before the live session.
Each one breaks down a core stage of the creative journey and includes a hands-on task or reflection. This isn’t fluff. It’s prep that makes the in-person sessions hit harder.

  • You’ll arrive informed, warmed up, and ready to contribute.
No homework-for-homework’s-sake – just sharp thinking you’ll use on the job.

In the Room:

1.5 days of live, in-person workshops

  • One session per project stage
  • Small group size = real discussion, not awkward icebreakers
  • Led by top-tier mentors who’ve made the mistakes already, so you don’t have to
  • Each session is interactive: group exercises, frameworks, war stories, and Q&A
  • No lectures. No jargon. Just useful stuff you’ll use immediately

So many great takeaways from so many legends. Feel truly humbled to share the course with so many cool creatives
