Resource Manager

Apparent
Redfern, NSW
Full-time
Job description

Allow us to introduce ourselves.

We’re Apparent, a full-service, independent agency made up of 180+ thinkers, creators, and solution-makers doing what we do best. One thing you should know about us: we’ve got an entrepreneurial spirit, and we know the work worth doing doesn’t fit into neat, tidy boxes. And neither should you, for that matter.

We punch well above our weight, with some of the biggest clients in the world on our roster, from global giants like Google and Volkswagen, to startups just beginning their journeys. Our approach? We call it the red thread. In other words, it’s the thing that connects everything we do, from the customer, through to the client and brand. On any given day you can expect to cross paths with someone in strategy, creative, media, client service, UX/UI, technology, and experience.

A few things you’ll like about working here:

• A very flexible and hybrid working policy
• Generous parental leave and extra summer days off
• Plenty of growth and training opportunities
• 24/7 access to our employee assistance program for you and your family

The role

The role:

As our work continues to grow, we’re looking for a Resource Manager to join our Google production team,  ideally someone with solid agency experience and a passion for making things run smoothly.

You’ll be the heartbeat of the studio: coordinating workflow, keeping projects moving, and working closely with producers, designers, writers, and client service to ensure the team is set up for success. If you thrive in fast-paced environments and love bringing order to creative chaos, this is the role for you.

Our team has been recognised as the top agency partner for the Google client in the US, and our work continues to be exciting, dynamic, and industry-defining. It’s a fantastic opportunity to join a high-performing and fast-growing team.

Your responsibilities

What you’ll do
• Assist with scheduling and resourcing of design, animation, and digital projects within the Google team
• Build strong working relationships with internal teams (Client Service, Creative, Production)
• Helping keep resource timelines, priorities, and communication tight
• Coordinate project reviews, stand-ups and meetings as needed
• Source, book, and manage freelancers across UI, animation, and video
• Help maintain our freelancer talent bench and database
• Provide regular updates and status reports to the Production Director

Skills

What you’ll need
• 3-5 years’ experience as a Traffic Manager, Resource Manager, or Production Coordinator in an agency or fast-paced creative environment
• Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle multiple tasks and deadlines
• Outstanding attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused mindset
• Strong understanding of creative and technical workflows
• Understanding of the creative resource skills and capabilities
• Friendly, collaborative, and calm under pressure
• Experience with scheduling tools (Workbook ideal)
• Experience with Jira, Excel, and Google Workspace is a bonus
