Get the inside edge: ACA webinar on what it takes to win an Effie | March 24

Advertising Council Australia (ACA) will host a free industry webinar on Tuesday 24 March, bringing together Effie judges, winning case writers and data experts to help marketers and agencies prepare strong entries for the 2026 Australian Effie Awards.

The session is open to first-time and experienced entrants, and will provide practical guidance on what defines a compelling entry, how to maximise the use of AI for entry writing, how judges assess submissions, and the common mistakes that often hold strong campaigns back.

It comes as demand across the industry grows for clearer evidence that marketing investment delivers real commercial value.

ACA CEO Tony Hale said: “Whether you’re a marketer, creative agency, media agency or in-house team, the challenge is the same: clearly demonstrating how insight, strategy and execution delivered measurable business results.
“It’s rare to have Effie judges and winning case writers in the same room sharing what works. For anyone planning to enter, that collective insight is invaluable.”

Speakers

Colin Wilson-Brown, Effie Chair of Judging
Martin Rippon, Effie Vice Chair of Judging
Lindsay Davies, Senior Manager – Effie, Advertising Council Australia
Aaron Boekestein, Director, Ads Partnerships, Google Australia & New Zealand

The session will also cover new and expanded categories, while Effie partner ideally will outline how agencies and marketers can strengthen evidence within their submissions using fast consumer research.

ACA has added 2025’s Grand and Gold Effie-winning case studies to its Effectiveness Database, giving members access to real examples of award-winning submissions.

On-time entries close Monday 4 May. Register here.
