NSW Youngbloods, in association with The Communications Council, relaunched its Speed Mentoring series in Sydney on 20 November, generously hosted and sponsored by Clemenger BBDO.
The night featured 25 advertising luminaries and was attended by more than 50 of our industry’s rising stars, gathered for a night of insights, challenging questions and thoughtful answers.
Throughout the evening, mentees – who ranged from graduates wanting to break into advertising to those who’ve already worked in it for a couple of years – spent five minutes chatting to a mentor before switching tables for five minutes with another mentor. The pace of the event meant that some mentees were to meet with up to 10 mentors.
Mentors included Sydney Industry heavyweights Peter Bosilkovski, (CEO, Clemenger BBDO Sydney), Lindsey Evans ( Founding Partner | CEO, Special Group Australia), Olly Taylor (CSO, Host/Havas Sydney) Emily Taylor (CSO, Leo Burnett Sydney).
Mentor Belinda Drew (GAD, Leo Burnett Sydney) commented: “Thank you so much for a truly incredible session. I was blown away by the calibre of talent and the insights from the next generation of leaders within our industry.”
Digby Richards (CEO, Richards Rose) reflecting on the night said “ My voice has just returned. I had a blast.”
Youngbloods and The Communications Council wish to sincerely thank Peter Bosilkovski and the team at Clemenger BBDO for hosting and supporting this event.
Speed Mentoring will return to Sydney in 2020!
