Youngbloods QLD goes from strength to strength in 2018

The buzz around the array of events run by Youngbloods Queensland confirms there’s a strong, young presence in Brisbane’s Adland.

With an ever-growing appetite for more, this year’s committee – led by co-chairs Rubini Gunaratnam and Nicole Klinakis – have gone above and beyond to fill it. More so, they’ve shaken things up as we promised to do from the start.

Their recent 2000s Trivia night saw a huge success, with tickets sold out far in advance and our biggest prize to date – a table at BADC. BCM won the title, with AWARD school graduates closely followed, and Rumble winning best team name.

The night saw a packed venue filled with fresh faces from advertising, media, PR, and students from all the major universities.

This was their third event this year, following Panel Night on the Green and Work behind the Work.

“We’d previously focused on what’s going on in the industry. So, it only felt right that the next should just be about getting everyone together and having fun.

It’s what the creative industry is known for, and we should be having more of it, to keep it going.” – says Rubini and Nicole

The support from sponsors Taxi Group and SevenTwenty has been overwhelming, showing what can be achieved with the help of the industry.

The YB Committee is already planning the events to come over the next 12 months, with some exciting news soon to be announced.

The YB Committee’s next and final event of the year Thanksgiving Cheers kicks off Thurs, 22nd Nov with ticket proceeds going to ACT for Kids charity and sponsors to match what’s raised. Visit the Youngbloods QLD Facebook page for more information and tickets.
