What is the best thing about your job and being in the industry?
Getting to become an expert on a different subject every few weeks keeps things really interesting. The industry definitely has its perks, working with great clients can make it the best job ever… especially when they give you stuff.
What made you want to get into the industry?
I wanted to work in a creative industry but also make money. More honestly though, I always loved ideas and finding ways to express them.
What made you want to do the AdSchool Core Strategic Planning course?
A few coworkers did the course and recommended it highly, when my employer suggested it I jumped at the chance.
Upskilling is a win-win, especially when an employer covers the cost, you’re pretty much getting paid to become better at your job.
How would you describe it in a nutshell?
The perfect way to understand what strategy is, how to do it, and why it’s important.
What was the best thing about it?
Being trained and guided by such an amazing lecturer, learning from someone so experienced in an ask anything, educational environment like that was great.
What is the number one thing you were able to apply in your day-to-day work?
Knowing that it’s ok to take a step back and always ask ‘why are we doing this?’ – even if it’s not what a client, or your agency, wants to hear.
Kicking off in late March, the AdSchool Core Strategic Planning Course is a must-do for planners and strategists at the beginner of their career. Over 8-weeks, students will learn about briefing creatives, evaluating ideas, developing an effectiveness case and the latest research tools and techniques.
