Supermassive Co-Founder Laura Aldington and Special Partner and Co-CEO Lindsey Evans have been announced as chairs of this year’s IPA Business & Agency Leadership course, being held at The Ovolo Hotel in Sydney from 10-12 September.
The three-day residential is hosted by Advertising Council Australia – a unique opportunity for tomorrow’s agency leaders to learn how to grow and lead a progressive, resilient business.
Aldington and Evans, two of the country’s most experienced agency leaders, will be joined by a respected lineup of speakers who will share their insights on the art of leadership, equipping delegates with practical skills that can be applied at an individual, agency or industry level to help them navigate the growing list of challenges and opportunities that come with the top job.
Aldington said: “Barack Obama’s recent career advice is ‘just learn how to get stuff done.’ I think this speaks to the fundamental job of leadership, which is to create the conditions for effective action to happen.
“The focus of this program is therefore less on the what and the why, and more on the ‘how’, with a stellar lineup of speakers inspiring delegates towards action. The aim is that attendees leave with new ideas and skills they can apply the very next day,” she said.
Evans commented: “This course is set to be an invaluable three days that will supercharge your leadership skills; building strength and capability in how you lead as an individual, in your organisation and in our ever-changing industry.”
The duo’s leadership experience is vast, with Aldington recently launching Supermassive, an independent agency with an ambition to set a new benchmark in effective non-traditional and earned creativity, and Evans’ Special going from strength to strength after opening its doors in Los Angeles and London last year.
