Role Overview 

Advertising Council Australia is the peak body for Australia’s leading agencies in the advertising industry. Our purpose is to foster the long-term prosperity of the industry, making advertising the most valued professional service in Australia.

The Membership & Systems Coordinator is responsible for maintaining and optimising our operating systems and databases while supporting our Member Services teams in delivering a program of education and events to Australia’s advertising community.

Key Focus 

ACA’s database is core to the efficient and effective deployment of our programs and marketing activities. Maintaining and updating the database will be a key part of the role, and would suit someone proficient in database and list management, and who can field queries from staff, troubleshoot and interface with technical support as required.

Increasingly, we run and host more online events and webinars via Zoom. The Membership & Systems Coordinator will assist in setting up the events and managing registrations, therefore comfort with Zoom functionality is an advantage.

Note: this role includes some attendance of events after hours. Dates will be provided well in advance.


Office Administration

  • Support Membership & Systems manager as required across IT, office management and process development

Membership Support

  • Committee administration – collating agenda items, compiling minutes, recording committee member appointments and resignation
  • Answer or refer member enquiries
  • CRM Database Management including reporting, de-duping, tagging and personalisation
  • Logging, tracking and reporting on member activity to inform accreditation points

Marketing Services

  • Briefing designer on website updates and marketing/communications as required
  • Publishing social posts as briefed by the Marketing Manager
  • Maintenance of EDM subscriber lists/integration with Campaign Monitor

Required Skills, Experience and Education

  • Knowledge of the industry is a big plus, with either marketing, industry association, publisher or agency experience essential
  • Demonstrated experience in database/list management and related software applications
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to juggle a number of tasks simultaneously
  • Detail-driven and a stickler for data entry discipline and naming conventions
  • Willingness to take on a range of tasks and learn new systems as needed
  • Knowledge of G-Suite and WordPress would be an advantage
  • Able to work without supervision but also a friendly and supportive team player
